1. Bridget's Cradles

Bridget's Cradles is a ministry that makes cradles designed to hold tiny babies who are born into heaven during the second trimester of pregnancy. Because babies are so small and fragile in weeks 14-26 of pregnancy, traditional blankets do not meet their needs. Their cradles offer a functional and stable way to hold a delicate, precious baby, and each cradle is uniquely made with love and care to respect the sacred life it will hold. During this service project, students will help with the multiple steps involved in creating these cradles to serve families in need.

2. Union Rescue Mission Donation Drive

Since 1950, Union Rescue Mission Wichita has worked to offer men experiencing homelessness and the associated challenges restoration through Christ. Their services and programs help them find healing. During the month of May, NewSpring will be collecting items to donate to the Union Rescue Mission. For this service project, students will sort the items donated so that Union Rescue Mission can effectively distribute them to those in need.

3. His Helping Hands

His Helping Hands provides help to families in Wichita by distributing needed clothing, furniture, and other household items at no cost. By being the “hands of Christ” in helping others, they show the love of Christ in a practical way, thus ministering both to clients and donors by helping people help people. In this service project, students will be going to the His Helping Hands warehouse to organize their donations and pick up trash around their property.

4. NewSpring Items

NewSpring's purpose is to help people make an eternal connection with Jesus Christ and with others in order to grow strong to produce fruit for the kingdom of God. This service project will involve helping with multiple projects around the church to reach more people for Jesus Christ.

5. Fresh Hope

Fresh Hope is a hands on, hand-in-hand program that is a “hand up,” not a “handout.” It is designed for women who are seeking a fresh start and are ready to work harder than they have ever worked, but need some help getting started. For this service project, students will be cleaning the facilities at Fresh Hope and helping them continue the ministry they are providing for so many women! Students will also be facilitating a mom's day out, which will involve playing with the kids outside as well as feeding them lunch.
