It’s Easy.
You will find NewSpring Church's online giving system comfortable, familiar and very easy to use. Regardless of age or computer knowledge, this system is user-friendly and easy to track.
It’s Convenient.
Simplify your monthly tithe and other contributions by setting up an account to automatically withdraw your contributions each month from your credit card, checking or savings account. You can modify your account, track your giving anytime, and export records to Excel for your personal record-keeping.
It’s Secure.
Online giving is actually more secure than checks or cash. With this system, you won’t have three or four different people processing your paper checks or cash. As soon as you click the link below you enter a secure, fire-wall protected server that is not available to the public. From there, your gift is electronically transferred directly to NewSpring's bank and the information about your transfer is sent directly to NewSpring's internal records.
Q: Why should I give online?
It's a personal preference, but here are a few of the benefits we hear frequently:
Q: How do I give online?
Q: Why did nothing happen when I hit the "Give Online" button? The “Give Online" button pops up the online giving dialog window.
If you are using a pop-up blocker such as the Google Toolbar, Norton Internet Security, or Pop-Up Stopper, the window will not open. Most browsers also have an internal popup blocker that can be enabled or disabled. In order to use interactive features you will need to allow pop-ups for this site.
Q: When would this automatic contribution be charged to my account?
On the signup screens, you can specify whether you want your contribution made one time, weekly, every other week (bi-weekly), twice per month (1st and the 15th), monthly, quarterly or yearly. You can set up as many schedules as you would like, so it is possible to give a monthly gift as well as a weekly one.
Q: Can I test this by giving one time?
Yes. You may test Online Giving by selecting “One Time” in the frequency drop down box of the signup process.
Q: How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed?
At any time you can view your record of "online" giving. Just go back to the online giving page and use the “Give Online” button to open the online giving pop-up window. Your giving history for the current year will show up at the bottom of the screen. There is also a drop down menu that allows you to view giving from previous years. We also send year end statements directly to your home address.
Q: I have created an account, but I don't see my giving history?
Once you create an account online, we need to link your web account with your existing contribution account. Please allow 3-5 days for this feature to be active. From that point, you'll be able to view your contribution history each time you log in.
Q: Can I give online to Missions?
Yes. Simply select Missions fund when you are scheduling a contribution. The computer will do the rest of the magic.
Q: Can I use my debit card or credit card?
Yes, as long as it's MasterCard or Visa.
Q: Can I use an electronic check?
Absolutely. Simply indicate that on the scheduling screen, and supply the correct information.
Q: Who do I talk to if I have more questions?
Contact our Finance Department at the church office 316.630.8500 x. 245 or finance@newspring.org and we'll be glad to answer any other questions you may have.
Security of your financial information at NewSpring Church
We use an online database called Fellowship One. Their system allows us to provide access to your contribution records and allows you to make donations online. They provide all of the security for the system. This system is used by churches throughout the country and has been fully tested by them. There are two aspects of security related to the system.
First, Fellowship One provides data security using the latest security technology. The following statement is from their security documentation: "[the system] utilizes the most current encryption technology to maintain the security of your data. Every parameter passed in the hyperlinks is fully encrypted. Additionally, the Login module handles passwords using what is known in technical terms as salted hash. In laymen’s terms, this means it would take 50 computers (running constantly) continuously presenting password combinations four years to discover the password."
The second aspect of security relates to account creation. When you first create a new account in the system, you will be able to donate immediately, but you will not have access to any previous contribution information. Before that can happen, we must manually link your previous information to the account you created. In order to verify the authenticity of the account request, we will ensure that all of your data matches our current records (e.g., address, phone number, and email address). If there is any question, we will contact you via email before creating the link.
Since this is a manual process, we will perform these steps approximately once a week, but if you would like to speed up this process, you can send an email to finance@newspring.org. When you create your account, you will determine your own login id and password. If you forget your login id or password, you can have the system email it to you by entering the email address that you used when you created your account. If you need help or cannot remember the email address you used, you can contact us at finance@newspring.org. You can also change your password at any time.
Please help us keep your information safe by protecting your login information. Access to sensitive personal and financial information can be gained by letting someone else use your account or by leaving the information for someone else to see.
NewSpring will never call you to ask for your login information.
Our Policies
Your information is held securely by the Fellowship One system. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions. You can schedule new contributions at any time and can modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date they are scheduled. Once the contribution has been processed, however, it cannot be cancelled. If you have any problems or questions related to this, please contact us at finance@newspring.org.
