Here are some answers to a few KidzWorld FAQ's that you may find helpful.
How do I check-in my kids?
Checking your children into KidzWorld is quick and painless. Just walk up to any check-in station and our friendly volunteers will help you with this simple process. All your children may be checked in at the same terminal. Check-in closes 10 minutes after the service begins. (This is to minimize distractions during the KidzWorld programs.) Also, while children in Adventure Avenue are moving back and forth from the theater to their classrooms, the KidzWorld hallways are not open to the public.
What ages can attend KidzWorld?
KidzWorld is for children from birth through 5th grade. Baby Bay is for infant and 1-year-olds. Adventure Avenue is for ages 2 through kindergarten. Route 252 is for 1st-5th graders. The children are then divided into small groups according to their grade level.
What curriculum is used in the KidzWorld classes?
The curriculum used in our Baby Bay (Under 2) and Adventure Avenue (2-K) is called First Look. (To find out more about My First Look, click
here.) It teaches three basic ideas: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. In Route 252, we use 252 Basics. (To find out more about 252 Basics, click
here.) We want every child in Route 252 to know the following: I need to make the wise choice, I can trust God no matter what, I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
How secure are the KidzWorld classrooms?
We take security very seriously here at NewSpring. We use computer-based check-in and we require a high-level of security in the classrooms, all for the safety of your child.
Can my child attend more than one KidzWorld class in a weekend?
Because of our
Worship One, Serve One philosophy at NewSpring, we do allow children to attend two KidzWorld services per weekend. However, we request that children do not attend more than two KidzWorld programs in one weekend.
What is your goal for KidzWorld?
The goal in KidzWorld is to provide a loving and exciting environment where children can learn about God and His love. We believe that it is our job to partner with parents as they seek to raise their children to know who God is and how much He loves each of us.
How do you handle special needs?
Special needs such as allergies or other mild needs will be listed on a child's name tag so that classroom volunteers will be aware of those needs. Special needs children who have specific needs that require one-on-one attention will be required to fill out an application and will be accepted into KidzWorld when a suitable one-on-one volunteer is available.
